Since October 2022, Porterfield has been building and delivering beds to children in the Albany area. In 2023, Porterfield members founded a local chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace, whose mission is to ensure that no kid sleeps on the floor in our town. To date, we have built and delivered over 250 fully furnished beds to smiling kids in our town.  

Whether you’re good with a hammer and drill or simply want to know how to make a bed, this is a fun and rewarding mission for everyone in our community.  Bed builds are generally every other month, with multiple delivery dates in between.
